Do you cater for all dietary requirements?
All our products are made, handled & packaged in an area where Nuts, Eggs, Wheat & Gluten & other allergens are present. We cannot guarantee a total absence of these allergens.
What is your turnaround?
All orders are despatched within 5 working days from placing your order, this is our turnaround. You will receive a notification of despatch via email, then your order should be delivered within 2 working days.
Local collections are available, just select the ‘pick up’ option at checkout.
What size are your bakes?
Our Crumb Cake slices are approximately 6cm x 8cm x 5cm & depending on the flavour they can weigh up to 240g so they are big enough to share!
Blondies & Brownies are approximately 7cm x 9cm x 4cm.
Do the boxes fit through the letterbox?
No, our boxes are too large to fit through the letterbox as our products are generously sized portions! Please ensure someone is available at your chosen delivery address to accept your parcel. Please check your Junk Mail & Inbox emails for your order confirmation after placing your order. After your order has despatched, you will receive your delivery details by text/email. This will ensure that you or the recipient are at the address to accept the parcel.
Do you do celebration cakes?
Yes! Depending on how busy we are. Celebration Cakes & Cupcakes are only available for collection & are not yet available to order & pay for directly via the website but please contact us at barneysbb@gmx.com & we will be happy to assist with your request.
What is a Blondie?
A Blondie is a fudgy dessert bar with a similar texture of a Brownie. Our Blondies are made with an almost caramel like base of brown sugar, vanilla & creamy white chocolate. All of these flavours combined, create a unique butterscotch flavour. The result, the ultimate Blondie!
Store Policy
Barney’s Bakeshop’s bakes are handmade to order & quality checked before despatch, for this reason we do not offer refunds or replacements. We will not be responsible if your parcel arrives & no one is at the property to accept it & no refunds or replacements will be given in this instance. We are not responsible for any damaged items during transit, or any damage due to warm weather, this is out of our control & at the customer's risk.
All deposits for large orders & events are non-refundable.
- Barney's Bakeshop is 5* Food Hygiene rated by the Food Standards Agency. Please visit the 'About Us' page to view this.
- Allergens - All bakes are made and packaged in a kitchen where dairy, eggs, soya, nuts, gluten and other allergens are present. We cannot guarantee a total absence of these allergens.

How should I store my bakes?
Most of our bakes are best eaten within 4 days of receiving your order when stored sealed well in an airtight container, either in the fridge or in a cool dry place. (Please read the best before dates & storage instructions, which are labelled on each product.) We recommend storing blondies & brownies in an airtight container in the fridge, (this makes our Blondies & Brownies EXTRA chewy!) They can also be frozen for up to 3 months when wrapped well (preferably in a zip lock bag. Our New York Crumb Cake is best stored sealed in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days & can be frozen for up to 3 months, just make sure when freezing your bakes that they are well wrapped as previously mentioned. All of our bakes are sealed in food grade cellophane packaging & are labelled with the best before dates & storage instructions are also included.
